One thing that Iceland is famous for is its Blue Lagoons. A hot tub, in the middle of cold town. Located on southwestern Iceland in the lava field near Grindavik on a Penninsula, which is only twenty minutes away from the Keflavik airport. Man-made yet deep into nature this, milky blue warm water is perfect to get away from the cold and rejuvenate your skin. Blue lagoons are filled with minerals especially silica, which helps to increase blood flow and improve the elasticity of the skin and helps to calm down the nerves. You also get various services at different charges (starting from 6,000/- Rs to about 10,000/- Rs) like, spa, drinks, massages, sauna bath and of course the silica mask and everything in water, so that you don’t have to get out in the cold. They also provide you with bath gowns, slippers, and a wrist band just in case you want to purchase extra drinks. The temperature of the water is maintained by the geothermal station nearby. It is around 36 degrees Celsius to 39 degrees Celsius, not too hot and not too cold either. Once you are out of the blue lagoon and into your clothes and have collected your luggage which was safely locked up in a locker, one can enjoy food in their canteen, delicious and exotic ( on chargeable basis). It’s an experience of lifetime, I can bet the warmth of the Blue Lagoon will keep you warm enough till your next trip.
